Price / Prix: $359.95 A top of the line beacon - BCA Tracker 2 is the company's newest addition to avalanche beacons market. It retains the easy to use ability of the older Tracker DTS but it's faster and displays the search progress in real-time.
Unfortunately, the recent news from BCA is that the Tracker 2 won't be available for this 2007-08 winter season. We will try to get into our store as soon as possible which should be in the fall of 2008.
Backcountry Access's Tracker 2 will be a strong competitor against the new Ortovox S1 which is being praised by many as the future of beacon technology. It will be interesting to see which one can lay claim to the "world's most popular avalanche beacon".
