BCA Tracker 2 is the company's newest addition to the avalanche beacons market. It retains the easy to use features of the older Tracker DTS but it's faster and displays the search progress in real-time.
Based on the latest update (Jan 22, 2010) from BCA the Tracker 2 will be available for retail via our store "in the next couple of weeks". Therefore, we recommend you to choose another beacon from our wide selection if you need one urgently.
We recommend the BCA Tracker DTS or Ortovox D3 if you are in an urgent need of an avalanche beacon.

The Tracker 2 avalanche beacon promises to be a strong competitor against the Ortovox D3. It may also challenge the Pieps DSP with its speed. However, Backcountry Access has not yet revealed whether their new beacon will have a marking functionality, like the DSP. This marking functionality is very useful in multiple burial situations.
