Ortovox Patroller combines analogue and digital technology in one package. It is very easy to use with a range of up to 70m. Distance readings and directional arrows kick in within a range of 40m. The Ortovox Patroller is a triple antenna avalanche beacon / transceiver.
With the Ortovox Patroller the search starts from as far away as 70m. This long search distance occurs while the Patroller beacon is in analogue mode. Analog sonar like sounds help guide the searcher to the victim.
Within 40 metres of the victim the sound changes to digital beeps. At about 40m the beacon switches from analogue to digital mode and provides you the
distance readings as well.
From within 12 metres the third antenna kicks in and another feature helps you locate the victim - directional arrows. This makes for a fast pin-point search.
