We will be adding more important backcountry and avalanche safety literature to our store. We currently carry three backcountry avalanche safety books and arguably the most useful tool in preventing avalanche accidents – the Avaluator.
Backcountry Access (BCA) avalanche safety gearFor all the Backcountry Access fans… We are pleased to announce that we will be adding their two beacons to our store’s extensive selection: the world renowned BCA Tracker DTS and their newest offering the BCA Tracker 2. We will also be adding Backcountry Access snow shovels and avalanche probes to the mix.
Ortovox S1, Ortovox Patroller, new Ortovox probes and shovelsOrtovox is arguably the most experienced manufacturer of avalanche safety equipment and we will once again be stocking a full Ortovox product lineup for the upcoming winter season.
The long awaited release of the Ortovox S1 avalanche beacon should finally be ready for public consumption in October 2007. The new Ortovox Patroller avalanche beacon will replace the older Ortovox X1 model.
Ortovox has also developed a new probe that will have a sensor built right inside. This sensor transmits vibrations up the probe if it senses a transmitting beacon close by. Now that is a cool feature!
Ortovox will also be releasing several new versions of their popular snow shovels to replace older models. The Backcountry Safety store will have one of the most extensive shovel selections available anywhere. |
